Online Bidding:

Before completing the registration form you will need to agree to our General Terms of Sale. You will also be asked to submit your creditcard details. Please be aware that Hermann Historica will not use your creditcard without previous authorization by you. These details are collected only for security purposes and enable us to guarantee the uniqueness of all newly registered clients.

After completing the registration process you will receive an automatic email with a link to the registration confirmation page. Please be aware that it is very important to click and follow this link as it is a final step to approve newly registered clients as bidders.

If you have previously registered with Hermann Historica BidLive program, you can bypass the registration procedure entirely. Simply log in with your ID on the auction day and bid up to an unbureaucratic volume of 20.000 per auction.

When you log on to the previously down-loaded BidLive program on the auction day, you will be capable of receiving live video and audio feedback from the Hermann Historica auction room by clicking the “Video Camera” icon, thus seeing two separate windows on your computer screen.

As soon as the auctioneer opens the auction you will see the first lot in the main window and the next high increment for bidding on a green button. If you click this green button, you send your bid to the auctioneer and will receive the message “you are in” on the top right corner of the bidding window if your bid is accepted, i.e. you were the first to click the green button. Please make sure you act fast as we have a high number of clients bidding online, by telephone and in the auction room. If you do not receive the aforementioned confirmation of your bid, another bidder was faster than you and you have to decide whether you want to bid the next high increment appearing on the green button.

If you are the winner of a lot you will see a message „Net Bidder 4xxx won the lot“ on the window and receive an automatic email confirming the hammer price of your winning lot.

Please note that this confirmation is not an invoice. This will be sent to you after the auction by separate mail and will also include the buyer’s premium and the shipping costs.
